The only tree native to the U.S. is the pecan (Carya illinoinensis.) A relative of the chicory, it is also found in central and eastern North America and the river valleys of Mexico. The name comes from pacane, the Algonquin word once used to describe any nut that required a stone to crack it open. Our Rooibos Pecan Turtle is a modern-day candy in a cup that satisfies the palate with the heady combination of buttery pecan with creamy chocolate and caramel flavors and a dash of chicory and apple.
